Home Tune-uP Inspections
Empowering Energy Savings
Goal: To bring toady's energy technology to yesteryear's homes, paid for by tomorrow's energy savings.

As a trained energy inspector I will inspect the details of a home and coupled with the Home Tune-uP software, produce a comprehensive illustrated report where customers can find:
    • Which energy improvements are best for their home
    • How much these improvements will cost and what they will save
    • Which group of improvements will save more on energy bills than they cost
    • Low-cost financing information
    • A list of no-cost, low-cost energy savers

How it works
The inspection involves gathering lots of data including:
  • The characteristics of the home
    • Orientation of the home, number and type windows installed, insulation level of the home, AC system duct leak check, total volume calculation of the conditioned space, current attic and crawl space ventilation

  • Current local energy prices are researched to provide a more accurate report. Electricity rates, propane and natural gas prices, cost of wood for fireplaces and wood stoves

  • Heating/cooling system size and age, water heater type, size and
age, data on other major appliances in the home

Fact: Average annual energy savings after recommended improvements is 25 percent or better, an average savings of $450 based on current energy prices.

The Home Tune-uP inspection can be done alone or coupled with a standard home inspection.
